Truly thrilled and honoured to be re-releasing one of my favourite recordings by one of my favourite composters on St Georges Day 2024, St George and The Dragon by the beyond illusive Chaucerian Myth.

Originally released by the mighty Ancient Meadow in 2022.

From the Ancient Meadow site - " St. George and the Dragon is a shorter work by Chaucerian Myth standards, clocking in around 45 minutes in length, but lacking nothing that we have come to expect from Chaucerian Myth.

St. George…is a wonderfully technical display of melody-writing, atypical tonal structures, and, of course, distinguished composition. Never one to shy away from experimenting, Chaucerian Myth has embraced a wide berth of dynamics in this work, incorporating a faster tempo, sudden and evocative chromatic variations in the melodies, and more. "

My favorite out of the three I believe.The sound is more aggressive and fits the cover art of what looks like a perilous journey for the protagonist. Fits well at being the second in the trilogy of albums. Every song is good and the cassette tape and package is of good quality. A Great buy that deserves a vinyl edition. Joshua Laleina
